This is not a service — it is a tool. The attorney's hand stays on it.

Three steps. In the attorney's hands.

A sound application is the product of a sound procedure. PatentYazar speeds you up at the three decisive stages of that procedure, and stops where the judgment calls are yours.

  1. I.
    ▸

    Take the disclosure

Fill in the 10-question structured form together with the inventor — technical field, problem solved, proposed solution, novelty, advantages, variants. About 15 minutes on average.

  2. II.
    ▸

    Draft it

The AI drafts the description, a numbered claim hierarchy and an abstract of no more than 150 words in the target office's format — in English for the EPO and the USPTO, in Turkish for TürkPatent. Your Mermaid figures are converted to black and white automatically.

  3. III.
    ▸

    Sign off

Review the AI output in the editor, run the prior-art search and give your final approval. Download a DOCX + PDF package in the target office's format; you file the application in your own name.

When the formalities objection arrives.

Most tools produce the draft and leave you there. Yet the laborious part of a file starts afterwards: extracting the office's formalities examination report point by point, fixing each item and preparing the amendment document showing the changes in the form the office expects. PatentYazar covers this cycle end to end.

  1. 01

    Upload the communication

Upload the TÜRKPATENT formalities examination report, the EPO Rule 57/58 communication or the USPTO Office Action as a PDF.

  2. 02

    Extract the points

The AI extracts the deficiencies, reads the application number and the communication reference, and maps each point to a formalities rule ID.

  3. 03

    Scan the text

The description, claims and abstract are checked against the office's own rules — the TÜRKPATENT guidelines, Rule 49 EPC or 37 CFR 1.52/1.72/1.75.

  4. 04

    Generate the filing

An official submission showing every deficiency remedied is produced as DOCX/PDF — with the wording of the Turkish Industrial Property Law for TR, Rule 137 EPC for EP and 37 CFR 1.121 for US.

Every document produced is a draft; the attorney decides how each point is answered and whether the document is filed with the office.

Nine tools, one toolbox.

01
▸

Office-ready DOCX

A4, Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, margin line numbers. Description / claims / abstract / drawings as separate files — exactly as TürkPatent's EPATS upload rules require. EPO and USPTO exports use their own page size, margins and file names.

02
▸

B/W Technical Drawings

Technical drawings from Mermaid source with lines of at least 0.5 pt and no fills. Every figure is numbered automatically.

03
▸

Claim Checks

Automatic validation of the independent/dependent claim hierarchy, numbering and back-reference consistency.

04
▸

Audit Trail

Every AI suggestion and every attorney edit is logged and kept for 10 years — the limitation period for industrial property actions.

05
▸

Prior-Art Search

Espacenet + Google Patents search, with a Claude Haiku similarity score and a rationale for every hit.

06
▸

Data Protection (KVKK)

Isolated per-firm records in a multi-tenant architecture. Passwords hashed with bcrypt, TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 for data.

07
▸

Prompt Cache

Model prompts are cached, so token costs are 10× lower for you. The same format guide is not billed twice.

08
▸

Model Tiering

Opus 4.7 for the description, Sonnet 4.6 for the claims, Haiku 4.5 for the abstract and similarity scoring. Each task runs on the best-fitting model.

09
▸

DOCX + PDF

PDF generated from DOCX with headless LibreOffice. EPATS accepts DOCX; a PDF can be downloaded for client approval.

A real application. A real test.

PatentYazar's technical feasibility was validated on a real application before the product was built: a PQC Gateway patent in post-quantum cryptography.

All outputs met TürkPatent's format rules and passed EPATS format validation. Every formatting subtlety learned along the way — the line-numbering XML, the page-number field, the black-and-white theme — is now built into PatentYazar.

Our position is clear: a tool, not an attorney.

a.

It is a software tool.

Not a patent attorney service — under Turkish Industrial Property Law No. 6769, the authority to act as a patent attorney belongs only to attorneys registered with TÜRKPATENT.

b.

Every output is a draft.

It is clearly marked as a “draft” in the interface; export files carry a watermark.

c.

Final responsibility rests with the attorney.

We do not file or represent; we only generate files and hand them to you.

d.

Every change is logged.

The activity log is kept for 10 years — a traceable record that can be used in proceedings under Decree-Law No. 551 and the Industrial Property Law.

In detail.

Is PatentYazar a patent attorney service?
No. PatentYazar is a software tool. Under Turkish Industrial Property Law No. 6769 (IPL) and the regulations in force, patent attorney work may only be performed by patent attorneys registered with TÜRKPATENT. We speed up the attorney's drafting work; responsibility for final review, filing and representation rests with the attorney.
Do you upload directly to EPATS (TÜRKPATENT's e-filing system)?
No. You download the generated DOCX/PDF files and upload them to EPATS yourself, as the attorney. This is a deliberate decision — the authority to act in EPATS must stay with the attorney, not with an automated robot.
Is my inventor and applicant data safe?
Yes. All data is stored encrypted in line with KVKK (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit). Your firm's data is kept in an isolated multi-tenant structure — other firms cannot see your projects. We are registered with VERBIS.
How reliable is the AI output?
AI output is always a draft — it must never be used directly as a filing. The model is Claude Opus 4.7, and there may be gaps in knowledge or misinterpretations. Every output carries a “draft” label in the interface; the attorney makes the final call. All edits are recorded in the audit log.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel with one click on the subscription page. After cancelling, your access continues until the end of the period you paid for; when it ends, AI draft generation is switched off. Your projects and drafts are not deleted — you can keep reading, editing and exporting them as DOCX/PDF. When you subscribe again, AI generation is switched back on immediately.
Do you support EPO and USPTO applications?
Yes. When you create a project you choose the target office: TürkPatent (TPMK), the EPO (Europe) or the USPTO (US). The choice changes the whole chain — the draft is generated in English, the formalities check applies that office's rules (Rule 49 EPC / 37 CFR 1.52), the amendment document uses that office's official template, and the export comes out with the correct page size, margins and file names (USPTO packages are US Letter size). There is no separate format set for PCT (international) applications yet; if you choose PCT, the TürkPatent format is applied.
What is your refund policy?
Within 14 days of payment, you are entitled to a full refund if you have not created any project on the platform. Once use has started, refunds are calculated pro rata for the remaining days of that period. For details, see the Terms of Use.
